A PERCENTAGE boosting win against Great Western last weekend sees Lismore Derrinallum sitting fourth on the Mininera League ladder.

The Demons thrilled their home crowd on Saturday, taking an 83-point win in round 11.

The visitors took them by surprise in the opening term, kicking five goals to four, but the Demons rallied in the second to go into the main break with a handy 22-point lead.

Kicking an impressive 10 goals in the second half, the Demons worked hard all over the ground to contain the Lions to just 1.2 for the term.

Final scores Lismore Derrinallum 18.16.124 to Great Western 6.5.41.

Josh Anderson was strong for the Demons, kicking four goals, while Steven Ryan contributed three.

Bailey Austin, James Halloran, Jed Millard, Liam Rigby and Bradley Ward each added two goals to the board while Ryan Marquand chipped in with one.

Among the best were Austin, Ward, Blake Scott, Steven Ryan, Halloran and Rigby.

The Demons’ reserves are also looking to play finals, currently sitting third on the ladder and only a game behind Glenthompson Dunkeld in second and ladder leaders Penshurst.

The side also dominated on the weekend, winning by a well-earned 102 points, 17.12.114 to 1.6.12.

Ryan Jeffrey had a great day in front of goals, kicking six for the Demons, while Bradley Schiltz kicked four and both Riley Browne and Todd Lamont added two apiece.

Other goal contributors were Paul Hodder, Beau Ketchen and Jack Pitts.

Among the best players were Benjamin Atkins, Timothy Turner, Lamont, Jack Pitts, Jeffrey and Matthew Bacon.

It was a mixed bag of results for the Demons on the netball courts, winning two of the five games played.

A grade – Great Western defeated Lismore Derrinallum 41-40.

B grade – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Great Western 23-17. Best: Ebony McLoughlin and Rachel Vagg.

C grade – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Great Western 30-18. Best: Emily Murray and Ava Stewart.

15 and under – Great Western defeated Lismore Derrinallum 15-9. Best: Caitlin Harrington.

13 and under – Great Western defeated Lismore Derrinallum 33-4.
